El Salvador President Nagib Bouquel announced on Friday that the country’s Navy had carried out four operations in the Pacific Ocean, which seized 6.3 tonnes of cocaine and arrested 17 people suspected of trafficking. The businesses, which Bouquel described as “unprecedented”, were held between June 2 and 10, about 1,000 nautical miles from the country’s coast. Five vessels were immobilized in which checks were carried out.
