The euro and the dollar are practically at the same value, which has not been the case for more than two decades.
If on the one hand, the euro loses value because the energy crisis and the Covid-19 pandemic weakened the economy, now there is even a possibility of recession in Europe, pulling the train in the rest of the world.
On the other hand, the United States is also going through a difficult situation with the highest inflation in the last forty-one years and the prospect of further interest rate hikes.
But with the increase in the risk of aversion in the world, investors seek safety in the dollar, considered the safest currency on the planet.
Crisis perspectives intensifying in Europe and a stronger dollar make the two currencies go almost to the same value.
Faced with such a complicated scenario, is it time to invest abroad? Which would be the best option, dollar or euro?
To answer these questions, this Monday’s (25th) Grande Debate Investimentos welcomes Pedro Paulo Silveira, director of asset management at Nova Futura Investimentos, which always defends investing in dollars, and Bruno Arona, partner and fixed income coordinator at Órama investments, and that it considers it viable to invest in the euro.
The attraction is weekly and airs on Mondays at 8:50 pm.
