The collection of 130 armored wheeled reconnaissance vehicles (TTOA-ASV) M1117 took place on April 29 and 30 in Thessaloniki. As announced by the General Staff of the Army (GS), the M1117 are granted to Greece through the program of excess defense material of the USA (Excess Defense Articles – EDA).
The M1117 are used in reconnaissance and surveillance missions, significantly increasing the operational capabilities of the Army, due to their flexibility and enhanced armor.
The M1117s received at the end of April are added to the 44 received in December 2021.
The receipt of M1117 will continue and in the next period of time, as planned, is added to the announcement of the General Staff.
