A rapid recovery is recorded in the turnover of companies operating in the domestic economy as a whole, as shown by the Hellenic Statistical Authority. Specifically, according to ELSTAT data, the turnover of companies holding bibliographic books amounted to 215.4 billion euros in the first ten months of 2021, compared to 212.7 billion euros in the corresponding period of 2019. This practically means that the total turnover recorded an increase of 2.71 billion euros with a rate of change of 1.3%.
In addition, based on the data of ELSTAT, which also concern all the enterprises of the economy, which are obliged to keep diplographic books, in October 2021 their turnover amounted to 24.79 billion euros, recording an increase of 28.5% compared to October 2020, when it was set at 19.29 billion euros.
Turnover for processing and wholesale – retail trade
One of the key sectors of the Greek economy that shows a higher turnover this year than 2019 is that of manufacturing with sales of 53.99 billion euros in the ten months compared to 49.15 billion euros in 2019. Increasing compared to 2019 moved and the wholesale and retail sector. Specifically, in the ten months January – October 2021 the turnover of commercial enterprises was 84.02 billion euros compared to 78.68 billion euros in 2019.

In the ten months of January – October 2021, the turnover of these two sectors amounted to 5.24 billion euros compared to 7.27 billion euros in the first ten months of 2019.
