Green Pass: how it works for those who have had Covid

From July 1st, the Green pass europeo. It will be used to return to travel without undergoing further impositions in terms of tests and quarantines, even if in hindsight the countries will be able to decide whether to accept the one issued 15 days after the first dose of vaccine (as happens in Italy) or to expect 15 days after the second. In Italy it is the Green Certificate, perfectly integrated with the European system even with those differences that must be kept in mind in case of business trips, it is already downloadable: citizens are receiving the necessary codes, via e-mail or sms, to download the QR Code.

Anyone who fails to download it should be able to shortly. On the IO app, on the other hand, nothing needs to be done: the notification arrives automatically once logged in with the Spid digital identity.

The same is true for those who have had Covid: the green pass is valid for 180 days from the date of termination of isolation, if this healing occurred in the previous six months. The channels through which to obtain the document are the same as in the other cases (i.e. carrying out a swab or vaccination after the first or second administration): IO or Immune applications (where the code transmitted by the structure from which one was treated or generated through the general practitioner), a platform dedicated to Digital green certificate, Electronic health record (which in some regions is also easily accessible by citizens) or general practitioner and pharmacist, by presenting the health card. In any case, on the Italian official website of the Green pass it is clarified that it will be necessary to wait until June 28 for all the certifications to be available for those entitled to it, even if in the meantime the authentication code (authcode) was communicated.

Attention, however: those who contracted the virus between three and six months before vaccination will have to receive a single dose of vaccine. Obviously having the right to the green pass. However, due to a malfunction of the system that should soon be resolved, these certificates are however not equivalent to those of those who have completed the vaccination cycle. but to those of those who have received only one dose (without having previously infected). A communication problem between the databases of the regions and the Higher Institute of Health with respect to the registers of those who tested positive in the past that could create some headaches from July 1st, in terms of European mobility, for 500 thousand people who have already received the “halved” QR Code.
