Many Greenpeace activists were arrested in London today after throwing red paint on a fountain outside the US Embassy in protest of weapons sales in Israel. London police said five people were arrested on charges of causing damage while the ecological organization claims that six of its members were arrested, including its executive coordinator, Will McCalum. Police said the fountain was accessible to the public and “there was no violation of the embassy”.
