Greta Thunberg Appeared At Who Vaccine Briefing And Criticized Rich Countries: Video

Climate activist Greta Thunberg criticized wealthy countries for providing coronavirus vaccines only to their citizens, and not to risk groups around the world. The teen has donated € 100,000 from her charitable foundation to the COVAX project to help buy vaccines for needy and poor countries, as reported on Twitter.

About one in four in high-income countries have received a dose of COVID-19, compared with one in more than 500 people in low-income countries, she writes.

Thunberg was invited to participate in a World Health Organization briefing, where she said it was “completely unethical” that wealthy countries already vaccinate young and healthy people, while in many less developed countries the vaccine is not available even for at-risk groups.

She stated that there is a direct link between the pandemic and how humanity is destroying the environment. According to her, “we ourselves create ideal conditions for diseases to be transmitted from one animal to another and to us.”

The comment of the 18-year-old Swedish eco-activist was made against the background of the WHO’s statement that last week ~ 5.2 million people were officially infected with the “corona” in the world, which is the highest weekly figure during the pandemic, and the death rate is growing for the fifth week in a row …

She clarified that the money comes to her fund from awards, prizes and royalties for books, and she herself does not receive funds for her activism and is not interested in charity.
