Gretchen renews wedding vows in chapel at Rock in Rio; see photos

The singer Gretchen 65, and her husband Esdras de Souza renewed their wedding vows in a ceremony at Rock in Rio this Thursday (19). On her social media, the singer invited her followers to participate in the ceremony and revealed that she renews her engagement with her husband annually.

On Instagram, the singer and actress showed some preparations for the long-awaited moment. “Today is the wedding day. And I’m [sic] How? Preparing for my vow renewal with my love Esdras de Souza. […] Oh people. Wait. It’s coming soon,” he wrote.

“Look, love. Show me that I’m shaking with anxiety,” said Esdras in the recording made by the actress.

Gretchen and the musician got married in 2020, at a yacht club in Belém, Pará, where they lived. Today, however, they live in Portugal.

The couple, dressed in red, posed for photos during the ceremony at the chapel in Cidade do Rock, which has an “Elvis Presley Matchmaker,” according to the event organizers. During Gretchen’s vow renewal, the ceremony was also conducted by the King of Rock’s lookalike.

According to the Rock in Rio press office, there were 137 wedding celebrations on the first day of the festival alone, on September 13.

On the first weekend of the festival, it also welcomed Larissa Manoela and André Luiz Frambach, Marcelo Serrado and Roberta Serrado.
