“Grey’s Anatomy”: 20th season premieres in Brazil; see what we know

The 20th season of “Grey’s Anatomy” premieres this Tuesday (16) in Brazil. The first episode airs at 10 pm on Sony Channel. There are 10 chapters in total, which will be released weekly on Tuesdays at the same time on the pay TV channel.

The new season marks the first year without Ellen Pompeo as a regular character and the return of Jessica Capshaw like pediatrician Arizona Robbins and Alex Landi like Dr. Nico Kim, who had left the series.

Also, names like James Pickens Jr. (Richard Webber), Chandra Wilson (Miranda Bailey), Kevin McKidd (Owen Hunt), Kim Raver (Teddy Altman), Caterina Scorsone (Amelia Shepherd) and Camilla Luddington (Jo Wilson) continue in the plot. Already Kelly McCreary (Maggie Pierce) leaves the production.

Another highlight of the 20th season is the participation of Brazilian actress Bianca Comparato. When the episode in which she appeared aired in the United States, she celebrated on social media: “It is an honor to participate in a series that I have been a fan of for 20 years.”

The new season’s story focuses on the romances between the new interns and explores the aftermath of the events of the season 19 finale.

How did Grey’s Anatomy season 19 end?

Teddy collapsed while being prepared for a procedure and did not respond to the defibrillation shock administered by her husband, Owen. On the operating table, the patient went into cardiac arrest.

In another part of the hospital, Jo and Link kissed after he confessed his love to the doctor. Meredith and Nick also shared a kiss and the surgeon revealed that she didn’t hear him say he loved her before he left for Boston. Still on the romantic front, Maggie and Winston, who were separated, get back together.

In the last episode too, Miranda received the Catherine Fox Award for her work in reproductive care.
