Gritzbach case: PM internal affairs department carries out operation against suspected agents

The São Paulo Military Police Internal Affairs Division carries out a operation this Thursday (16) against agents suspected of the execution of businessman Antônio Vinicius Gritzbach whistleblower linked to the First Command of the Capital (PCC).

The action seeks to arrest military police officers who are believed to be linked to the PCC. One of them, in fact, would have acted directly in the execution of the whistleblower, which took place on November 8, 2024 at Terminal 2 at Guarulhos Airport.

Gritzbach was a whistleblower for people linked to the PCC and also ordered the death of drug dealer Anselmo Becheli Santa Fausta, known as Cara Preta, in 2021.

The execution

The murder took place near gate 2 in Guarulhos, when the businessman was embarking on a trip. The Military Police confirmed that the shots occurred around 4:10 pm on November 8, 2024.

According to the PM, around 5 individuals disembarked from a black vehicle and fired shots at the businessman. A car with the characteristics was found abandoned on an avenue near the airport.

Images from the airport security circuit show two men getting out of a car, in the arrivals and departures area, while the whistleblower was preparing to enter a vehicle. In the scene, Gritzbach notices the movement after the first shot, and tries to jump over the wall, but ends up shot by the shots.

PCC generates more than US$1 billion per year

Counting on the contribution of transnational trafficking and money laundering activities that have intensified over the last few years, the Primeiro Comando da Capital (PCC) generates around US$1 billion per year, which is equivalent to R$6 billion. The amount is similar to what large Brazilian cities will have to spend throughout 2025, such as Niterói (RJ) and São Bernardo do Campo (SP).

The information was given by prosecutor Lincoln Gakiya to CNN Entrevistas.

“This remains in the investigation phase, but we estimate that one billion dollars per year is handled. Just the organization. This does not take into account what individuals, partners or members of the leadership, who also carry out very important money laundering, are moving,” the prosecutor told CNN .
