Gritzbach case: police escorted and leaked information to the PCC

The São Paulo Public Security Secretariat (SSP-SP) points out that the investigation by the Military Police Internal Affairs identified that the police officers targeted in this Thursday’s operation (16) were escorting criminals.

The SSP says that was the case of businessman Antônio Vinícius Gritzbach, who had five military police officers providing security when he was killed, at Guarulhos Airport (SP), in November last year. He was facing charges for money laundering and homicide.

Among those arrested is the man accused of shooting the PCC whistleblower at Guarulhos Airport .

The military police officers came under investigation in March last year, when the Internal Affairs Department received a complaint about leaks of confidential information that favored criminals linked to the PCC faction.

The investigation evolved into a military police inquiry, where it was found that those involved, including active and reserve military personnel and even former members of the institution, favored members of the faction, avoiding arrests or financial losses.

“Among those benefiting from the scheme were leaders of the faction and even people wanted by the courts”, says the SSP.

Police officers arrested

THE Military Police Internal Affairs launched, this Thursday (16), an operation to execute 15 arrest warrants and seven search and seizure warrants against military police officers suspected of involvement with the PCC .

Among those arrested is the military police officer identified as the author of the shots that killed Antônio Vinícius Gritzbach at Guarulhos Airport, on November 8 last year.

Gritzbach was a whistleblower for people linked to the PCC and also ordered the death of drug dealer Anselmo Becheli Santa Fausta, known as Cara Preta, in 2021. He was executed in Terminal 2 of Guarulhos Airport upon returning from a trip.
