Groove IP is a VOIP client for calling using Google Voice. You need an activated Google Voice to use it.

Get a US phone number that can receive calls and text messages from anywhere in the world. In addition, you can call and send SMS to real US and Canadian phone numbers using Voice over IP (VoIP) technology. GrooVe IP works on any Android device, mobile phone or tablet and allows you to make calls using your device’s data connection (WiFi or mobile data). If you have a smartphone with Wi-Fi connectivity but don’t have a mobile plan, you can use this app to convert it into a fully functional work phone. If you are traveling abroad, you can take your device with you and make/receive free Wi-Fi calls with no carrier roaming charges. You get all this without using cellular minutes.
You can also make/receive calls using standard SIP clients (softphones on PC/Mac/Linux or standalone SIP phones) using the SIP credentials provided by us.
GrooVe IP has a separate dialer that can be used to make calls. Alternatively, native phone software, call history, contacts, and favorite features can be shared between the phone and GrooVe IP on a call-by-call basis.
