Scheme
According to the police, the gang, previously commanded by Geonário Fernandes Pereira Moreno, known as “Genaro”, is responsible for dismantling around 80 stolen or stolen vehicles per week, so that the parts and accessories removed from the cars could be sold. .
Subsequently, the vehicles are taken to the communities of Guacha, Gogó da Ema and Santa Tereza, in Belford Roxo (RJ), regions dominated by a criminal faction that was led by “Genaro”.
In communities, cars are dismantled and the parts are stored in warehouses rented under the names of “oranges”.
The material is then sent to São Paulo, where it is distributed to Goiás, Santa Catarina and Bahia, states where the parts are sold by junkyards and auto parts stores, a factor that corroborates the supply of the clandestine market, according to the police.
