Renewable energy mining company Gryphon Digital Mining has entered into an agreement with Bitmain to purchase 7,200 Antminer S19j Pro devices for a total of $ 48 million.

“The S19J Pro miner purchase agreement represents a significant step forward in Gryphon Digital Mining’s strategic initiative to increase hashrate while maintaining a zero carbon footprint,” the press release said.
Under the terms of the agreement, Bitmain plans to supply 600 Gryphon miners every month. The first batch will be shipped in August 2021.
Earlier, Gryphon Digital Mining announced plans to gain public status through a reverse merger with data management provider Sphere 3D.
US-based TeraWulf, which is more than 90% carbon neutral, purchased 30,000 Antminer S19j Pro units from the Chinese manufacturer.
