The Global Student Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA) competition, organized this year by the Greek branch of the international Entrepreneurs Organization, is addressed to Greek students, giving them the opportunity to get in touch with the foam of the innovative companies of the country, to present the business their idea, to claim support worth thousands of euros and finally to build their professional future with a great start, participating -if they qualify- in the big international final, in May 2022.
Guarantee for the importance, but also the value of the competition is the fact that it is organized by the Greek chapter of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization (EO), the international organization of entrepreneurs, which has over 14,000 members in 61 countries, with a strong presence in Greece, where it brings together successful and renowned entrepreneurs behind the most innovative Greek companies.
The competition in Greece will be held in mid-February 2022, with a vision to empower student-entrepreneurs to become the most important players in the world.
As part of the competition, participants will present their business idea and personality. What makes this competition stand out, after all, is that it gives more weight to the man-entrepreneur and not so much to the idea itself. Thus, the main criterion – representing 70% of the rating – is the entrepreneur and his prospects to evolve, followed by the business idea with a percentage of 30%.
Prerequisites for participation are the existence of a company which the participants manage for at least six months, with a minimum share capital of 1,000 euros or an annual turnover of at least 500 euros. At the same time, participants must attend an academic institution, regardless of whether they are pursuing an undergraduate, postgraduate or doctoral dissertation.
The student-entrepreneurs who will be distinguished, will gain -among other things- mentoring and cooperation with the members of the Entrepreneurs’ Organization. It’s a business-to-business competition, and that makes a difference.
The winner of the Greek GSEA will qualify and will travel for free to the country where the final international competition will be held, in May 2022.
