GSEE: Nationwide strike on April 6

The accuracy, minimum wage and the issue of collective agreements in our country, which create a heavy climate for the world of paid work, were put on the table at today’s meeting of the Executive Committee of GSEE, according to its announcement.

The GSEE demands that the government abide by the Prime Minister’s pre-election commitment, restoring – albeit a remnant of it (doubling the economic growth for each year) – the minimum wage to 751 euros and then handing over its designation to the EGSSE (ie GSEE). and employers’ organizations).

We demand a National General Collective Bargaining Agreement, for the defenseless employees of the private sector, with absolute freedom to negotiate the financial terms and at the same time we call on our member Federations to immediately start negotiation procedures and conclude agreements to the real needs of their members. Our organizations must use as a key argument the fact that companies that do not want increases are the ones that first raised the prices of products and services by releasing the spiral of inflation and are the ones that during the memoranda turned the reduction of unit costs work at a profit without investment that would bring employment.

We demand that the 6th P.Y.S. be redefined. according to the Spanish standards, with an unlimited duration of the Collective Agreements, the branches of the business contracts should prevail, they should be universally valid and extended by a simple decision of the Minister, the time limits of the contracts should be regulated, the types of contracts should be redefined and so-called “zero” contracts.
