GSEVEE demands the immediate abolition of the service fee

The General Confederation of Professional Craftsmen and Merchants of Greece (GSEVEE) requests the abolition of the fee in a letter to the Minister of Finance Christos Staikoura.

GSEVEE refers to the latest evaluation report of the stability program for Greece of the European Commission, in which a recommendation is made to the Greek government for the abolition of the performance fee.

In support of the above, it cites data from FHW GSEVEE, according to which small, very small enterprises and the self-employed who recorded losses or zero profits corresponded:

– 36.1% of all small and micro enterprises in 2019 (before the pandemic)

– 63.9% of all small and micro enterprises in 2020

to 53.3% of all small and micro enterprises in 2021.
