The Institutional Security Office (GSI) of the Presidency of the Republic found a skeleton, possibly human, on Via N2 Leste, less than 1 km from the Palácio do Planalto.
Cabinet officials would be training on site, when they came across the corpse in an advanced stage of decomposition in a thicket, according to the Military Police of the Federal District (PMDF).
The 6th PMDF Battalion, at Esplanada dos Ministérios, was called by the GSI at 20:18. The Military Fire Department also went to the scene, but there was no action by the corporation, since the decomposed corpse would undergo expertise.
The Civil Police Identification Institute of the DF (PCDF) began the identification work to find out if the skeleton is really human and to whom it belongs.
The 5th Police Station (central area of Brasilia) will be responsible for investigating the case.
