This Tuesday (6), Rockstar released the second Grand Theft Auto VI Trailer (GTA 6) which reveals important information about the franchise’s next title. Launched over a year ago, the first trailer presented some of the history of Lucia Caminos, one of the protagonists. Already the new video focuses on Jason Duval, the other main character.
The adventure returns to the fictional city of Vice City, located in the state of Leonida scenario that marked the fourth game of the series: Grand Theft Auto: Vice City – inspired by the royal city of Miami, Florida. The difference is that GTA 6 takes place today, while the other game is set in the 1980s.
“Jason and Lucia have always knew that the situation was against them. But when an easy situation goes wrong, they find themselves on the darker side of the most sunny place in the United States, in the midst of a criminal conspiracy that spreads through the state of Leonida – forced to depend on each other more than ever to survive,” the trailer synopsis describes.

In the new video, Lucia is welcomed by Jason on the way out of prison, but it seems that she does not intend to leave the life of the crime. The two form a couple of scammers, and the plot will be focused on blows and other crimes that happen in Vice City – and in different regions of the state of Leonida.
The video also features other characters that will be part of the story: such as Cal Hampton, Jason’s friend, and the Raul Bautista bank thief.
GTA VI IN 2026
More than ten years have passed since the launch of the latest franchise title. At the time, GTA V sold over 200 million copies. That’s why experts and fans believe the next adventure in the Grand Theft Auto universe should be another sales success among players.
Originally, the game was scheduled to be released in the second half of 2025, but it was postponed to May 26, 2026 . For now, Rockstar has announced the release only to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series x/s .
