The fan-anticipated GTA Remastered Trilogy, which includes improved versions of GTA III, GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas, will only be released next year, according to analyst Tom Henderson.
On Twittter, Henderson said he hadn’t originally planned to reveal information about the trilogy. However, he states that the information about the release of this year’s compilation, which was leaked last week, is untrue.
Presumably, the collection is being developed by Rockstar Dundee, who previously worked on Halo: The Master Chief Collection. The trilogy was originally expected to be released at the same time as Grand Theft Auto 5 Expanded And Enhanced Edition this November, but it was eventually decided to spend more time on improved versions of GTA III, GTA Vice City and GTA San Andreas and release them later.
Rockstar has yet to officially confirm the existence of an updated trilogy, but rumors of it have been circulating since the beginning of this year. GTA III is due to celebrate its 20th anniversary this October. Perhaps Rockster will announce a reissue in the fall, with a release next year.
