Residents of the “Promised Land” occupation in Guarulhos protested on the morning of Monday (24) against the repossession of the area, scheduled for 11 March.
The demonstration took place on Estrada do Taboão, in the Bananal neighborhood, where about 100 people banned the road and set fire to tires.
The Fire Department was called and controlled the flames. Watch video:
Guarulhos City Hall clarified that the land is private and is not a party in the judicial process.
Civil Defense, Social Assistance and Municipal Guard teams are following the situation.
