The Minister of Economy, Paulo Guedes, said this Tuesday (15), that Brazil is “more tidy than the people abroad” and “ready for another fight (…) if the Second World War comes”.
“We are ready for another fight, if the Second World War comes, we are ready again”, said Guedes, arguing that the country is quickly recovering from the impacts of the pandemic, in addition to having a zero deficit.
The minister said the country is ready for any challenge that arises. “Brazil is tough when it comes down, because Brazil has fallen, gotten up, is on its feet, has already shaken and is more tidy than the people abroad”, he pointed out.
In addition, he lamented the war in Ukraine. “We are a generation that pays for its wars, we are not mortgaged the future of our children and grandchildren, we are paying for our wars”, affirmed the minister.
The head of the economic team spoke at the launching ceremony of the New Framework for Securitization and Strengthening of Agro Guarantees, at Palácio do Planalto. At the event, the President of the Republic, Jair Bolsonaro, signed the Provisional Measure (MP) that creates the program, in addition to a decree to reduce the Tax on Financial Operations (IOF).
