Guess by Marciano loves Italy: a fashion trip from Los Angeles to Florence

It all started in California, Los Angeles, in the early 1980s. Here, the brothers Marciano, during a vacation away from their Marseille, they decide to move to start living their American dream. And they do so by launching their flagship product, which will later become a best-seller: slim-fit ankle-length jeans, stonewashed.

Thus was born the brand we all know, capable of mixing stars and stripes glamor with that touch of French elegance and sensuality. But, among their inspirations, our country could not miss, which, with its centennial history of fashion, architecture, art and design, has made style its flag in the world.

And in one of our most beautiful Italian cities, Florence, he decided to promote the Spring-Summer 2022 collection of Marciano by Guess, the most exclusive line of the brand. Why precisely in the Tuscan capital? For an emotional bond with these places: in fact, the historic headquarters of Guess Italia are located here.

The location of the trunk show? It could only be the St. Regis, one of the most evocative historic hotels in Florence. In his Party Hall between stuccoes, frescoed ceilings and walls, seasonal clothes and accessories have come to life. Absolute protagonists are fabrics such as linen and silk blends with a pastel palette, with fluorescent and natural touches that enhance, with their shapes and cuts, the feminine silhouette.

And, again Florence, is the city chosen for one of the new openings of the brand, which has 121 stores in Italy and 774 in the rest of the European continent. In fact, a new Marciano by Guess concept store has just been inaugurated in via Calimala 19/21, between the Ponte Vecchio and Piazza Duomo. Strategic and effective position: it is located inside a historic building with a stone facade that perfectly reflects the charm of Florentine architecture.
