Guido Berlucchi, a toast to a 2021 full of prizes and awards

The one now on the decline was a really important and exciting 2021 for the Guido Berlucchi. In the year of sixtieth anniversary of the birth of the first Franciacorta created by Franco Ziliani, start-upper ante litteram, the company has in fact strung together a series of precious awards.

Starting from obtaining the “seal” of Wine Spectator, which attributed to its top wine – Palazzo Lana Extreme 2009 – the highest score (93) ever achieved by a Franciacorta and a set of evaluations for the Guido Berlucchi Linea ’61, all 90+. A prestigious title, which is added to the most recent and coveted recognition of Winery of the Year 2022 released by Red shrimp, one of the leading publishing groups in Italy and in the world in the field of food and wine and the culture of food.

“This award celebrates the care that everyone, in every field and department, puts into their work: all together, we are the Winery of the Year!” declares the Ziliani family. “We are recognized at the pinnacle of excellence not only for our wines – whose undisputed quality is confirmed again this year by the 3 glasses of Gambero Rosso to our ’61 Franciacorta Nature 2014 – but for all of our work”.

A job that in this very difficult but positive year for the company has also seen the birth of many projects and initiatives, including the restyling of the bottles of the line Cuvée Imperiale Berlucchi. In fact, the iconic oval today takes on softer shapes and is enriched with precious details, including a special anniversary sticker that represents the 60 years of Cuvée Imperiale. Last but not least, a small sun and a small moon have also been added to remember in every moment that successes were made possible thanks to nature.

And while a Vanity Fair Stories 2021, the keynote speakers and guests toasted with Berlucchi 61 Franciacorta Brut, in the hospitality lounge of The Space Cinema Odeon, the house was preparing to collect another prize. To be precise, what concerns the Guido Berlucchi Brut Rosé Franciacorta ’61 NV as the only Italian Classic Method included in the prestigious ranking TOP 100 of Wine Spectator.

“We are happy and proud to represent, in such a beautiful year for our company, the work of a great team on an entire territory – he declares Arturo Ziliani, CEO of Guido Berlucchi – and to be able to dedicate this highly desirable recognition to our father Franco, which projects Guido Berlucchi into an international dimension, precisely in the year of her 90 birthdays! ».
