Guilherme Serrano is appointed president of the INSS

The federal government appointed Guilherme Gastaldello Pinheiro Serrano to serve as president of the National Institute of Social Security (INSS).

Guilherme Serrano was already at the INSS, as director and substitute president, and takes over the command of the body in place of José Carlos Oliveira, who became Minister of Labor and Social Security, replacing Onyx Lorenzoni.

Last week, Onyx left the federal government to run for governor of the state of Rio Grande do Sul in October.

In addition to Onyx, eight other ministers left the government to run for office in this year’s elections.

Serrano’s appointment as president of the INSS is published in the Official Gazette of the Union (DOU) this Thursday (7), which also features the appointment of Jobson de Paiva Silveira Sales to perform the role of Director of People Management at the Institute.
