Ismail “Mayo” Sampada, the infamous Mexican drug baron and co -founder of the powerful Sinaloa cartel along with Joaquin “El Chapo” Gusman, has decided to say guilty to US justice. The decision was revealed through documents released on Monday. The preliminary hearing, scheduled for August 25 in the run -up to the trial, was now transformed into a formal guilt confession, according to a New York federal judge, Brian Kogan, who handles the Sampada case. To date, the 77 -year -old “Mayo” has insisted on saying innocent after he was filed by 17 charges by US justice, including murders, weapons trafficking and drug trafficking. It is not clear so far in what offenses he decided to confess his guilt.
