A man in possession of guns and a fake driver’s license was arrested Saturday outside a Donald Trump rally in Coachella, California, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office said Sunday. Sheriff’s deputies at a checkpoint near the gathering arrested 49-year-old Vem Miller of Las Vegas, who arrived in a black SUV, according to reports. He was later booked into a local detention center on charges of possession of a loaded firearm and a large capacity magazine. “This incident did not affect the safety of former President Trump or those attending the event,” the statement said. The sheriff’s office did not immediately release information about Miller’s intentions. He was released on bail and faces a court hearing on January 2.
