Guterres – Mitsotakis Meeting: The Prime Minister welcomed his efforts to restart talks on Cyprus

Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis met at the UN headquarters in New York with the Secretary General of the Organization Antonio Guterres. During the meeting, Greece’s priorities were discussed during its tenure at the UN Security Council (2025-2026) and international and regional developments. The latest developments in the Cyprus issue were also discussed. The prime minister welcomed the efforts of the Secretary -General to restart and maintain talks on the Cyprus issue. He also expressed his satisfaction with the re -appointment of Maria Angela Holguín Cuéllar as a personal envoy to the Secretary -General for the Cyprus issue and thanked Mr Guterres for his services.
