Gymnastics, Nia Dennis’ viral exercise on Kendrick Lamar’s music

Another University of California gymnast with a viral performance. Two years ago it was Katelyn Ohashi, now it’s up to Nia Dennis, a 21-year-old UCLA student. The girl originally from Columbus, Ohio, scored 9.95 with an exercise dedicated to Black Excellence, the great characters of African American culture.

The choreography is a dedication to Los Angeles with music by Tupac Shakur e Kendrick Lamar, the rapper poet, but also Beyonce, Missy Elliott, Soulja Boy and Megan Thee Stallion.

In a few hours he made the rounds of social media with the hashtag #blackexcellence. Compliments came from musicians like the same Missy Elliot and the queen of artistic gymnastics: Simone Biles. “Okay Nia Dennis, keep doing these exercises, it was so much fun!”

“This routine represents the woman I am today,” the gymnast told al Los Angeles Daily News, “and obviously I wanted to incorporate many parts of my culture. I wanted it to be like a party, a dance, because that’s my personality. And of course I had to pay homage to Los Angeles ».

Like Katelyn Ohashi, with millions of views and likes, Nia Dennis chose a medley of songs. Already last year it had depopulated on the net with an exercise done on Beyoncé’s notes.
