Gyms, we start with training and outdoor fitness courses. Here’s what they will look like

The official opening of the gyms, and the related indoor training, is set for the beginning of June. However, according to the new government regulations, it is already possible to organize outdoor fitness courses, which go hand in hand with individual activity, or training related to team or contact sports, without involving other people and with the possible presence of a personal trainer.

A recent Irish survey has indeed shown that the risk of contagion from Covid-19 is low outdoors, a circumstance that allows an early restart for the activities carried out in outdoor spaces.

Gyms equipped with courtyards (in case it is possible to request authorization to use public spaces, such as parks and gardens) will therefore be able to resume part of the activity already in the next few days, always in compliance with the safety measures established by the President’s Decree of the Council of Ministers of 2 March 2021 and the suggestive Decree-law of 13 March 2021.

The training will be possible in compliance with the interpersonal safety distance of at least two meters e the use of changing rooms or showers will not be allowed. In practice, it will be allowed to go to the sports center exclusively for outdoor training, already in gymnastic clothing and equipped with personal mat. The use of workout equipment (ropes, elastics, dumbbells, kettle, etc.) will be available after pre- and post-workout sanitation.

You will not need to use a mask to train.
