CD Projekt RED is preparing the next major update for Cyberpunk 2077, with patch 1.2 originally slated for February. However, this week, the studio reported that plans have changed. The update should now arrive in the second half of March if there are no issues during development.
According to the Polish company, this delay is partly to blame for the recent cyber attack on CD Projekt, as a result of which attackers gained access to the original data of the games, as well as documents related to accounting, administration, legal issues, employees, investors, and so on.

Then the company said that the backups of the encrypted devices were not damaged, and it had already started data recovery. This process influenced the timing of the development of the update for Cyberpunk 2077. The developers have confirmed that the upcoming update will be much larger than the previous ones.
To date, CD Projekt RED has released one major update to Cyberpunk 2077 aimed at improving performance and fixing bugs. Several critical fixes were also fixed.
