Hackers used Mira Murati’s Twitter account to draw the attention of her followers to a fraudulent promotion that simulates the distribution of ERC-20 OPENAI tokens from a popular artificial intelligence platform. To this end, the attackers posted a phishing link and a fake crypto wallet address.

The hackers managed to block commenting on the news, which prevented the community from reporting the scam in time. The fraudulent post from Mira Murati’s account was viewed 79,600 times and retweeted 83 times before being deleted.
Yesterday, June 1, the Discord Orbiter Finance server was subjected to a similar attack, after which the attackers also posted a link to a fake token distribution program on the platform page.
