Attackers attacked the Maestro telegram bot, the largest one used for trading cryptocurrencies. The amount of damage is 280 ether ($500,000).

“We regret to inform our users that Maestro has been compromised this evening. We quickly took action and disabled all functions,” the Maestro team announced.

The company promised that victims would receive a full refund. Trading via bot is currently temporarily disabled. The developers clarified that the attack affected the bot’s router, but did not spread to wallets.

Maestro later said that trading could soon resume as usual. However, tokens with pools on SushiSwap, ShibaSwap and PancakeSwap will remain temporarily unavailable for now.
