The authorities are not solving Chivo's problems
El Salvador is the first country in the world to accept Bitcoin (BTC) as legal tender. The government is actively promoting Chivo as an official crypto wallet for citizens. The platform allows you to buy and sell the main cryptocurrency, as well as store and withdraw tokens in special crypto-ATMs.
However, the state crypto wallet is not the most successful development of the Salvadoran authorities. Since the launch of the product, users have been complaining about numerous errors and technical glitches in its operation.
The government is in no hurry to solve these problems. Despite the fact that the first news about the leak of the Chivo user database appeared almost a month ago, the authorities have not yet did not comment incident and did not resolve the security issues of the crypto wallet.
