Hackers managed to steal the data of about 4.5 million passengers Air India, announced yesterday, Friday, the airline.
Names, bank card numbers and information contained in passports are some of the information stolen, the public company said in a statement issued.
Air India assures that it is taking measures for the security of the servers that were targeted in this mass theft, while at the same time it has resorted to cyber security experts. The company also contacted the bank card companies.
“We express our deep regret for the problems caused and we are happy for the support and trust of our passengers,” the company added.

The low-cost airline EasyJet announced last year that a hacker had stolen email addresses and data from about nine million of its customers.
