Hackers withdrew $ 5.7 million tokens from the Roll platform

The platform for issuing tokens on the Ethereum Roll blockchain was hacked – attackers were able to gain access to storages and sell tokens for $ 5.7 million.

how informs The Block analyst Igor Igamberdiev, hackers received ETH in the amount of $ 5.7 million, after which the funds were sent to the Tornado mixer. At the same time, the rates of tokens issued on the platform fell by 95-98%.

“The hackers sold all the stolen tokens, but it is not yet known if they have access to other components of Roll’s infrastructure. The facts indicate either the possession of the key to the wallet, or the work of an insider, “the analyst wrote.

One of the platform users, who issued the WHALE token, wrote that the drawdown was related to the hacking of the platform’s wallets – 2.17% of the total number of tokens were stolen and they completely disappeared into the market.

Roll representatives confirmed the hack and noted that computer security specialists are investigating the incident. Unfortunately, they did not share more detailed information.

At the beginning of the month, hackers received administrative rights in the PAID Network project and issued tokens worth $ 160 million. Some of them were sold, and the hackers raised more than 2,000 ETH.
