The future Minister of Finance in the Lula government, Fernando Haddad, announced this Friday the names of two women for the presidencies of Caixa Econômica Federal and Banco do Brasil.
Rita Serrano will head Caixa and Tarciana Medeiros, BB.
“Rita Serramo has been a Caixa employee for 33 years and will take over on January 1st. At BB, for the first time, we will have a woman at the head of the bank, Tarciana Medeiros, who has been with the bank for 22 years,” Haddad told journalists at the Centro Cultural Banco do Brasil (CCBB).
Haddas also said that both spoke a lot with him and President Lula and “are aligned with the government’s plan, they know the challenges that are posed in relation to the credit system in Brazil, and it is a very challenging agenda”.
“We are going to work together with the teams that will be formed by the two presidents, so that we make available to the population as quickly as possible what was a campaign commitment, especially with regard to credit”, he concluded.
