The Minister of Finance, Fernando Haddad, determined, this Monday (20), that the Federal Revenue select products seized in inspections that can be donated to victims of the storms on the north coast of São Paulo.
According to the minister, there are more than R$ 11 million in clothes, shoes, bed, table and bath items, personal hygiene, cleaning material and kitchen utensils.
Through social networks, Haddad thanked the employees of the Federal Revenue Service, from the 8th Fiscal Region (SP), who were mobilized to select the material during the holiday.
At least 40 people died and another 40 are missing on the coast of São Paulo, according to the state government and the city of São Sebastião. Approximately 1,730 people are displaced and 766 remain homeless.
Among the deaths confirmed so far, 39 are people from São Sebastião (Barra do Sahy, Juquehy, Camburi and Boiçucanga) and one from Ubatuba.

According to the agency, the National Association of Federal Public Lawyers (Anafe) and the National Forum of Federal Public Advocacy should publicize a campaign to help those affected.
