The Chief Economist of the Bank of England (BoE), Andy Haldane has made some upbeat comments on the UK economy Thursday.
Haldane has said that UK economy may be close to pre-pandemic production levels.
Haldane last week triggered a strong move in GBP / USD after he said that the “UK economy is turning ‘bargain hunters'”, adding that “we may need to start turning off the stimulus tap“.
