Almost half of German voters believe that Russia is a threat to their country, according to a Yougov poll on behalf of the German News Agency (DPA). About 13% of respondents see a “very significant” military threat from Moscow, while 36% consider this threat to be remarkable. On the contrary, 30% estimate that the Russian threat is low, while 14% do not see any risk to Germany. Significant differences are observed between supporters of different parties. Among 58% and 62% of those who vote for the Christian Union (CDU/CSU), the Social Democratic Party (SPD) or the Greens considers that Russia represents remarkable or very significant threat to Germany, while 1/3 degrades the size of the threat or considers that there is no risk.
