Hamas is ready for conversations with Trump administration, says authority to the media

Hamas said it is ready to make contact and maintain conversations with US President Donald Trump’s administration, according to Russian state news agency Ria, citing a high Hamas employee in comments published on Wednesday (5), at local time.

“We are ready for contact and conversations with Trump administration,” said Hamas senior member Mousa Abu Marzouk, quoted by Ria.

“In the past, we do not oppose contacts with the administration of (former President Joe) Biden, Trump or any other US administration, and we are open to conversations with all international parts,” he added.

It was not clear when Ria interviewed Marzouk, who was visiting Moscow on Monday (3) to talk to the Russian Foreign Ministry.

Trump said on Tuesday that the US would take over the War Gaza range after the Palestinians were resettled elsewhere and developed it economically.

Marzouk told Ria that conversations with the US have become a kind of need for Hamas, considering that Washington is an important country in the Middle East.

“That’s why we welcome conversations with Americans and we have no objections to this issue,” he added.
