Indirect negotiations aimed at a fire in the Gaza between the Islamic Palestinian organization Hamas and Israel continue in Qatar for the fifth consecutive day, an official told the French Agency today. “Hamas and Israel continue to be in Qatar,” said the official, who wanted to maintain anonymity because of the sensitive nature of the discussions, stating that the two sides are continuing talks through mediators. A new cycle of negotiations began on Sunday in the Qatar capital, after more than 21 months in Gaza war, hoping to reach an agreement on a proposal with US support, which provides for an initial 60 -day truce. The mediators “go between the two camps to exchange ideas, bridge the latest differences and maintain the momentum for a deal,” the source added. Source: RES
