Hamas said on Thursday it had presented mediators with a comprehensive vision of a truce agreement that is based on stopping Israeli “aggression” against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip by providing relief and aid.
The plan would also include the return of those displaced from Gaza to their homes and the withdrawal of Israeli forces.
Furthermore, the document would highlight the group's position on the prisoner and hostage exchange agreement, Hamas added in a statement, but did not provide further details.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office said the new Gaza truce proposal put forward by Hamas is still based on “unrealistic demands.”
Also according to the statement, an update on the matter will be presented to the war cabinet and the expanded security cabinet on Friday (15).
