Hamas will free on Monday (12) the Israeli-American Edan Alexander, considered the last surviving American hostage maintained by the Palestinian militant group in Gaza, a spokesman for the armed arm of Hamas said.
The government of US President Donald Trump said Alexander’s release was a “top priority.”
Alexander, 21, was born and raised in New Jersey and served in the Israeli army when he was captured by Hamas during the attack on Israel in October 2023.
