Hamas says Israel refused to take two hostages it intended to release

A Hamas spokesman said this Saturday (21) that the group intended to release two more hostages for “humanitarian reasons”, but that Israel refused to receive them.

Abu Ubaida spokesman for the Izz el-Deen al-Qassam Brigades, said in a brief statement that it informed Qatar on Friday (20) about the radical Islamic group’s intention to release the two people.

According to the Israel Defense Forces, Hamas has held 210 hostages since the October 7 attack.

To date, two American women, kidnapped by Hamas, have been released: Judith Tai Raanan and your daughter, Natali Raanan , 17 years old. The release took place on Friday.

Judith and Natali were handed over to the Red Cross and their release was based on “humanitarian reasons”, as the mother’s health is poor.
