Hamas says it has released two more hostages in Gaza

Hamas announced, this Monday (23), the release of two hostages in Gaza.

Sources in the radical Islamic group told Reuters that they were two elderly Israeli citizens.

Americans freed

Last Friday (20), North Americans Judith Tai Raanan and Natali Raanan, her 17-year-old daughter, were released after two weeks as hostages.

At the time, the extremist organization credited the release to Qatar’s efforts and “humanitarian reasons”, as Judith’s health was weakened.

United States President Joe Biden said he was “very happy” with the release: “This mother and her daughter will soon be with their family again. They will have the full support of the U.S. government in their recovery, and we must respect their privacy at this time.”
