Hamster Kombat Airdrop Will Put Increased Load on TON Network

The Open Network (TON) developers warned about the increased network load from September 26 to 29 due to the Hamster Kombat airdrop.

Starting from 13:00 UTC on September 26, validators are advised to constantly monitor the status of the equipment and stay in touch with the blockchain team to maintain network performance.

“If emergency action is required, take action within an hour,” the developers noted.

According to them, the Hamster Kombat airdrop for 131 million participants will be the largest TGE in the entire history of cryptocurrencies.

Withdrawal of HMSTR tokens to wallets will become available at 13:00 Kyiv/MSK, trading on exchanges will open at 15:00 Moscow time.

TON Developers will apply when distributing a new technology called Mintless Jettons, which they say will allow for more efficient distribution of tokens among millions of users with a network fee of less than $1.

Let’s remember that out of 300 million Hamster Kombat players, only 131 million are eligible to receive tokens. About 2.3 million of the total number of users are excluded from the drop for cheating.

The project will issue 100 billion HMSTR, 75 billion of which will go to community members. Players will be able to cash out 88.75% of the tokens on the first day of trading, and the remaining 11.25% in 10 months.

Earlier, the Hamster Kombat team presented plans for the development of the game in the coming months.
