Hamster Kombat to Hold Two Airdrops

The developers of the popular clicker game Hamster Kombat, which has attracted more than 250 million players, have revealed new details about the airdrop. And not just one.

In an interview with the publication The Block The creators of Hamster Kombat have confirmed that they will hold an airdrop this month. However, the positive news does not end there: the project team is already planning a second distribution of free tokens.

Hamster Kombat Second Airdrop

According to the project’s roadmap, the gaming project will introduce its own token under the ticker HMSTR in July. The exact date is unknown, but according to the Hamster Kombat team, they are already in active negotiations with cryptocurrency exchanges that will list the asset.

Bybit has already opened the premarket for HMSTR tokens this week. At the time of writing, the maximum bid for one coin is 1,000 Tether (USDT). The latest trades on the platform were concluded at a price of about 0.17 USDT.

Earlier, the developers shared some details of the upcoming distribution. For example, the size of the airdrop will not depend on how much in-game currency is stored on the user’s balance. The key to success is passive income. The more it is, the more tokens will fall into the player’s wallet.

Who created Hamster Kombat

As The Block journalists noted, the creators of Hamster Kombat remain anonymous. The Bell recently conducted an investigation, during which it was discovered that a Russian businessman is behind the development of the project. However, this has not been officially confirmed.

During the interview, only one new fact emerged – all members of the Hamster Kombat team have been in the crypto industry since 2013. Each of them has experience in developing both games and blockchain.

The developers noted that the success of Notcoin, another “tapalka” launched in January of this year, inspired them to create an entire community of hamsters. In addition, when creating Hamster Kombat, the founders also drew inspiration from memes, social networks, and even the history of GameStop and Reddit.

“We were inspired by the success of Notcoin and the popularity of social media games in the 2010s. So we took the best of both, added our philosophy of unity and a lot of educational content,” they shared.

What will happen next

Speaking about the project’s prospects, the creators of the “hamster battle” express more optimism than the Notcoin team.

Last month, one of the Hamster Kombat representatives noted that coin mining will not stop after the airdrop – the developers will continue to work on improvements and updates, preserving the gameplay for users.

“Hamster Kombat is more than just a game; it’s an entire international family, and we believe in the long-term strength of the community,” the founders said when asked about the future of the app.

One of the main goals of the developers is to attract 1 billion players. According to the latest data, more than 250 million people have joined the game, so there is not much left to reach the desired mark.

“We are an entertainment project created with the goal of mass distribution. Our mission is to reach 1 billion people around the world who will become part of this project and learn about the world of blockchain and Web3. We also care about financial literacy and universal basic income, and it seems that we are becoming one of the largest projects in this field,” they concluded.

You can “tap the hamster” from several devices

The Hamster Kombat team emphasized that they plan to step up their fight against bots in the near future. Just like the Notcoin developers did at one time, who managed to block about 20% of accounts that turned out to be fake.

“We see everyone who tries to breed bots, and we will clean them before listing. Notcoin managed to ban about 20% of bot accounts, we will try to do the same… The use of bots and referral fraud will be punished,” the founders of the gaming project said.

In addition to combating bots, the Hamster Kombat developers also have no plans to prevent users from playing on multiple devices. Many players were worried that they would eventually be punished for such tactics.
