According to the latest report from the Security Times, the number of developers of applications for the HarmonyOS operating system has surpassed the 1.2 million mark. More than 300 partners have contributed to the new Huawei ecosystem.
On June 2, Huawei officially confirmed during the HarmonyOS 2.0 announcement that its ecosystem has about 500,000 contributors. And now, after two months, the number of developers has more than doubled. Huawei expects a lot from its new OS and is constantly working to improve the operating system based on developer feedback.
Huawei President Yu Chengdong recently confirmed that HarmonyOS 2.0 has been installed on approximately 40 million devices since its launch on June 2. Earlier, the Chinese tech giant announced its intention to reach about 300 million devices by the end of the year. Now, looking at the pace of deployment, the company has expanded that target to 360 million devices.

HarmonyOS 2.0 contains huge changes from the EMUI software, including several new features as well as changes to the user interface. HarmonyOS 2.0 is enhanced with a new home screen, service widgets, HarmonyOS fonts, smart folder, Huawei sharing, collaboration security, and more.
So far, the new software is only available to Chinese users, while global users are still waiting for the HarmonyOS 2.0 beta to begin.
