HarmonyOS 2.0 takes up much less space than EMUI 11

Details about the HarmonyOS 2.0 operating system continue to appear, with the final version already available to users of various smartphones in China.

According to the source, HarmonyOS 2.0 supports efficient memory management and takes up less space on the smartphone’s flash memory. An example is a Huawei smartphone with 256 GB of flash memory. Of these, 224.95 GB was occupied by the operating system, applications and user data. After the update, the amount of used memory has decreased to 217.83 GB. That is, HarmonyOS 2.0 after installation takes up at least 7 GB less space than EMUI 11. This is great for owners of smartphones with a small amount of memory.
